Hi, my name is Kylin.

Thanks for visiting my site :)

I had my first camera when I was 12 or 13. It was a Cannon point-and-shoot camera in classic silver, small enough to fit my unproportionable big hands at the time. It was a Christmas gift from Santa, although I knew clearly it was my dad's pick. Dad's camera was much bigger and heavier, with delicate parts and lens that I was prohibited from handling.

I took the camera to school 7 days later to shoot photos at the New Year celebration event. Most kids (if not all) would have seen a camera already, but I was proud to be one of the first to own one. The lighting was crappy with all the curtains closed; the built-in flash made everyone's face oily and reflective; and all I knew was literally just point and shoot. Yet I had a great time. I was running around to take silly photos of other kids' awkward poses, trying my best to "capture the moment". By the end of the day, kids had started call me "photographer"; but it's not until a decade later that I started to understand how much it takes to own up to that title.

Travelling is another thing that my Santa parents have graciously introduced to my life.

So what am I doing here? The market of photography and prints is probably one of the most saturated among everything else. Anybody can pick up anything with a lens and start shooting photos. Anybody with a little bit of surplus in their wallet may go on an adventure. Travel photography is probably one of the biggest "niche" there can be.

Yet I've come to know people who have very little desire of exploring the world. That alone boggles my mind. WHY! Why on earth would anybody not want to travel the world and see it all?

True, it is a privilege. You seem to never have both time and money to fulfill the two basic requirements of a trip; traveling itself could be as stressful as first day on a new job. But please, don't let these stop you. The world is a limitless source of inspiration, and you deserve it. YOUR HEART DESERVES IT.

I was lucky to have been inspired. The places that I've been, the mountains that I've climbed, the cultures that I've once submerged myself in... I truly wish to share it with y'all. And if you happen to like it through (literally) my little lens, you can now own a piece of it too :)
